Briefly about RFSL Linköping
RFSL Linköping is a non-profit organisation founded in 1975. We organise everybody who stands up for RFSL’s vision of a world of equality where all LGBTQI people’s human rights are respected. You are warmly invited to become one of our members! RFSL Linköping helps organise the parade during Linköping Pride and does local political advocacy work. We have premises for social activities and we are working on re-building our educational services.
RFSL Linköping is a branch within RFSL, the Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex Rights.
RFSL’s vision
An equal world where all LGBTQI people’s human rights are respected and nobody is left behind.
RFSL’s mission
– We organise a democratic member movement and act as a platform for organising. Our organisation builds on non-profit efforts, which should be simple, sustainable and based on the individual’s own preconditions.
– We work from an intersectional perspective and norm critically to change power systems and preconceptions that lead to discrimination.
– We work locally, nationally and globally to achieve equality for all LGBTQI people through political advocacy work, preventative health work, education and cooperation with allied organisations.
– We cooperate on all levels and work closely with our closest partner, our youth organisation RFSL Ungdom.
– We support our community and LGBTQI organising in rural areas and cities. We create safe spaces, strengthen others in taking action and help more voices to be heard. We offer support to vulnerable LGBTQI people.
– We are Sweden’s most important source of knowledge about LGBTQI people’s situation and work to spread our expertise to other actors.
– We always stand up for our target groups and fight for equality, democracy and civil society’s space regardless of which way the wind is blowing.
RFSL’s basic principles
